Susan's Story, Our Indian Ocean Sands & Safaris Adventure
We have visited Thailand twice and covered almost all of the tourist areas but this is our first visit to Phuket. We first went to Rang Hill to get a panoramic view of the city. Then we went to famous Patong Beach and were surprised how overdeveloped it was. Then we drove by Karon Beach which looked much more inviting to us, thinking of a beach as a place to relax. We drove by the white marble Sitting Buddha on the top of the highest mountain. We enjoyed our visit to the Sea Shell Museum displaying the most valuable collection in the world as well as the largest pearl in the world. Finally we visited the world famous Wat Chalong. This was all prepared for the upcoming annual religious festival. This world class destination is on our short list for a future extended stay. /susanClick a photo to view or click first photo to see a slide show.
