A short ferry ride from Oslo is Bygdoy with its famous Viking Ship Museum, Kon-Tiki Museum, Fram Museum, and Norwegian Maritime Museum. The viking ships were amazingly-well preserved and tell us much of a forgotten advanced culture. /hugh
