Barber Motorsports Museum, Birmingham, 1/28/08

My brother Lew last year visited the Barber Motorsports Museum in Birmingham, AL and saw vintage & modern motorcycles. Last winter I did extensive research on British motorcycles to the very early 1970's and was interested in seeing Triumphs, BSA's, and Ariel's. There were many and I also saw extremely historical bikes along with race cars. I can't wait to go back with Trey and take better photography equipment! This place is fabulous!!!

The display is huge and you can get up close and personal with the bikes.

My favorite was a 1967 Triumph TR6

I liked this WWII Triumph

I had never seen a Vincent, much less a HRD

I never expected to ever see a Brough-Superior SS100 like Lawrence of Arabia was killed on.

John Surtees' championship F1 car was in the collection.
