Nolichucky Whitewater Paddling 4/14/07

Last year I had a terrible time in my kayak on the Nolichucky River on the July 4th weekend. Then there was a drought and the level was too low to paddle and redeem myself. Today Wesley Bradley, Dan Thomas, & I met at the campground, packed our gear in the truck, hired a driver to take us to the top, and showed the river what we could do. It was a beautiful early spring day with buds and a few leaves on the trees. We met a lot of kayakers and some rafters on the river and had a great time. It is sad that the water levels are already low for this time of year! See you on the River.
